Here's my card for the current Global Design Project challenge. I used several elements from the inspiration card in my design, including the bones of the layout, the animal in an envelope, and the heart shapes.
I replaced the "snail mail" in the inspiration card with a pair of chirpy chicks from Lawn Fawn's Love Letter stamp set. The chicks were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching dies, then placed in and on a tiny die cut envelope created with LF's Happy Mail dies. I used ofam tape to place the chick filled mini envelope on a pale pink panel over a pair of stamped envelope images. The speech bubble from the Love Letter set was stamped on white cardstock and filled in with the "happy mail" sentiment. After die cutting the bubble, I used more foam tape to position it on the pale pink panel above the chicks. I used the heart die from the Happy Mail set to cut a bunch of hearts from rose cardstock. They were scattered around the panel, extending all the way to the top corner. I added a pair of tiny speech bubbles filled with little hearts, placing one over each of the chick images. The finished panel was adhered to a rose cardstock panel on an angle, then layered on to a matching pale pink card base.
