Hope Your Day Is Glitch-Free

Here's my card for the current Lawn Fawnatics "create a scene" themed challenge. I combined images from Lawn Fawn's Virtual Friends and Den Sweet Den set for a fun virtual birthday celebration scene.

I used the desk and monitor images from Virtual Friends as my starting point. Instead of coloring the desk, I stamped the image on kraft cardstock to give it a wood-like look. I colored the monitor plus the bear, lamp, and book stack from Den Sweet Den with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut to cut out the colored images. To make the background, I found a busy floral pattern to serve as "wallpaper," then added some kraft cardstock scored to look like it had planks to the bottom as the floor. A dark brown strip serves as molding where the kraft and patterned panels meet. For color and contrast, I added a piece of an olive green pierced oval die cut to the kraft panel as an area rug. The images were arranged on the panel using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the "#happybday" and "hope your day is glitch-free" sentiment on narrow strips of golden yellow cardstock. The strips were adhered beneath the scene's elements with more foam tape. The finished panel was adhered to a golden yellow card base to match the sentiment strips.
