Seas the Day

Here's my card for the current Lawn Fawnatics travel destination themed challenge. It's been a long, long year and like many, I'm looking forward to spending some time at the beach this summer, so that's what I featured on my card. The layout is based on the current challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. It was perfect for creating a beachy scene! My scene features images from Lawn Fawn's On the Beach stamp set. The images were colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut. I made a beachy background from a blue cardstock strip with a pair of torn kraft cardstock strips at the bottom as sand. The beach towel image was adhered directly on the panel before I added the bear, complete with a sunburned belly, and umbrella using foam tape for dimension. The panel was edged with a narrow strip of green cardstock along the bottom edge, then adhered to a coordinating purple card base. The set's "seas the day" sentiment was stamped on a blue fishtail flag strip that I tucked beneath the bottom edge of the scene to finish the design.
