Miss You

Miss You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Altenew
Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. The layout's small panel was the perfect size for Altenew's city skyline from the Pretty City stamp and die set. I die cut the buildings from gray cardstock, then stamped the windows in silver ink. To make them really pop, I heat embossed the windows in silver. The embossed piece was adhered to the bottom of a blue panel with foam tape. I added a small shimmery white circle in the top left corner as a moon, trimming down the edges so they were flush with the sides of the panel. After I matted it on silver cardstock to match the windows, the panel was placed at the top of a light blue card base. I stamped the "miss you" sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set on a blue strip in navy ink. The narrow strip was placed at the bottom of the image panel to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Mini Delight: Pretty City stamp and die set, Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set (Altenew); Memento Nautical Blue and Encore Silver inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Brocade Blue and Bashful Blue cardstock, Sterling Silver embossing powder (Stampin' Up!); Smokey Shadow cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Silver cardstock (Recollections); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); circle dies (Spellbinders); corner rounder; foam tape
