Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. I couldn't resist going with a rainbow for the repeated stripes at the right side of the cardfront. My strips were made from cardstock scraps that I arranged in rainbow order on a light blue card base. I topped the rainbow with a die cut sun created with a die from Concord & 9th's Brighter Days die set. The sun was added to the cardfront, then topped with a cloud cut from shimmery white cardstock. The "brighter days are ahead" sentiment from the Brighter Days set was stamped on the cloud in black ink. For more sparkle and shine, I added a trio of silver sequin raindrops beneath the cloud to finish the design.
Materials Used:
Brighter Days stamp set, Brighter Days and Rainbow Wishes dies (Concord & 9th); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Red Punch and Ocean cardstock (Recollections); Only Orange, Daffodil Delight, Green Galore, Lovely Lilac, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); silver sequins; foam tape
Love, love, love your rainbow stripes! A very uplifting card. Thanks so much for playing along with us at the CC&S challenge blog!
