The layout for my design is based on the current challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. In addition to using the sketch, I also incorporated the suggested congratulations theme into my design. The patterned paper for the large panel on my cardfront was rescued from my scrap pile. The blue and green were perfect for the challenge! I matted the panel on green cardstock and added a silver fishtail flag at the top of the patterned piece before positioning the panel on a purple card base over a wide strip of textured blue cardstock. The "congratulations" sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Fancy Word Coordinates stamp set was stamped in black on a narrow purple cardstock strip. The strip was placed at the bottom of the patterned panel. I topped it with a die cut silver stitched star adhered with foam tape for dimension. The star echos the tiny star in the pattern and is a nice fit for my congratulations theme. A trio of green sequins arranged around the star completed the design.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD695. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd695 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Lesley Gillett.
