Color Throwdown 707-You Got This

It's time for another Color Throwdown! It's my turn to be challenge hostess this week and I've chosen a color scheme inspired by a fabulous altered globe--mustard, navy blue, and turquoise.

You Got This card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Reverse Confetti

The layout for my design is based on the current challenge at Sunday Stamps. I also took some inspiration from the soon to start school year and created an encouraging back to school card that will be heading to a friend of mine who is an elementary school principal. My focal image is the bear-driven school bus from Reverse Confetti's School Days stamp set. I colored the image with Copic markers (boy, am I out of practice...) and fussy cut it with sharp scissors before using foam tape to place it on a turquoise circle. The circle was adhered to the top of a wide mustard cardstock strip positioned on the right side of a navy card base. For contrast, I added a strip of turquoise cardstock across the bottom of the cardfront, tucking it underneath the mustard strip. The "you got this" sentiment from RC's So Many Sentiments stamp set was stamped just beneath the image panel in black ink to finish the design.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD707.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd707 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Michal D.
