Color Throwdown 708-Floral Thank You

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lynn is our hostess this week with a floral inspired color palette--pink, coral, dark purple, and green.

Floral Thank You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti

The layout for my design comes from the current challenge at The Paper Players. I used the colors and stamps from Reverse Confetti to create a simple thank you note. After adhering a wide green gingham patterned paper panel down the center of a white cardstock panel, I added a wide coral cardstock strip across the panel. For contrast, I tucked a narrow strip of dark purple cardstock underneath the bottom edge of the coral strip. I stamped the flower from RC's Sending Smiles stamp set in pink, the flower center in purple, and the leaves in green. The images were cut out with the matching dies and assembled, then adhered to the left side of the coral strip using foam tape for dimension. The set's "thank you" sentiment was stamped in purple ink on the right side of the strip. I adhered the finished panel to a green card base matching the gingham pattern.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD708.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd708 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Elizabeth Stewart.
