Color Throwdown 727-That Was So Nice of You

It's time for another Color Throwdown! It's my turn to be challenge hostess this week and I've picked a trio of colors inspired by some fun winter knits--mustard, pink, and green.

That Was So Nice of You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps, dies, and stencil from My Favorite Things

Here's my take on the challenge using the current sketch from CAS Colours and Sketches. I used flower stencils and dies from My Favorite Things along with some distress inks to create a trio of flowers. The flowers were arranged at the bottom of a white cardstock panel and adhered with foam tape for dimension. The leaves were tucked underneath at varied places to add interest. The center of each flower was dotted with a yellow crystal from my stash for a touch of sparkle. I stamped the "that was so nice of you" sentiment from MFT's Bitty Thanks and Gratitude stamp set beneath the flowers in yellow ink, then matted the panel on a coordinating mustard yellow card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD727.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd727 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper.
