Color Throwdown with Coffee

Here's my card for this week's Color Throwdown. This week's colors--Riding Hood Red, Pear Pizzazz, and Chocolate Chip/Kraft--are perfect for a holiday card, but I went with a coffee themed one instead using the Miss You a Latte a la mode from My Favorite Things.

I colored the coffee-carrying girl image using Copic markers. It's cut out and embossed with an oval Nestabilities die.

I used some of October Afternoon's Good Cheer designer paper for the mat behind the image. I layered the patterned paper on a Pear Pizzazz panel, then machine stitched around the edges before attaching it to the card base. The colored image panel is layered on the patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of ribbon and added a pair of stacked buttons, tied together with baker's twine, to the end of the sentiment to anchor it.

If you're a MFT fan, be sure to stop back tomorrow. I'll have another MFT creation to share first thing in the morning . . .

Materials Used:
Miss You a Latte a la mode stamp set (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Couture Cardstock); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, and Crumb Cake cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Good Cheer designer paper (October Afternoon); petite oval dies (Spellbinders); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); buttons (Papertrey Ink); baker's twine (The Twinery)

  3. I love this, Lori! The offset image and sentiment tag balance each other so well. Now I need a cafe treat. ;)
