I replaced one of the sketch’s rectangle panels with a red ticket cut with the CutUps Big Ticket die. I used the matching Admit One stamp set from The Cat’s Pajamas to decorate the ticket before setting it on the cardfront. I used three coordinating patterned papers from the My Mind’s Eye Love Me paper pad for the rest of the panels on the card.A strip of kraft ribbon stretches across the center of the card. I layered a pair of die cuts made with TCP’s Circus Panels CutUps dies at middle of the ribbon and stamped the “ticket to my heart” sentiment on the smaller die cut piece.
I was going to call it quits, but the design seemed a little plain, so I went back and added a little lace trim along the bottom edge of the kraft ribbon and stuck in a pair of pretty pearl trinket pins for good measure. I have a hard time using vintage-y embellishments like that, but they seemed to work okay here and add a needed interesting detail to the card.
Materials Used:
Admit One stamp set, CutUps Big Ticket and Circus Panels dies (The Cat’s Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black and Rhubarb Stalk inks (Tsukineko); Riding Hood Red, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Love Me 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); Kraft grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); lace trim (Michaels); pearl trinket pins (Maya Road)
