This week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is an Anything Goes challenge. I used the Zoo Crew stamp set and coordinating Zoo 2 dies to make a fun card to congratulate a young friend on the successful completion of his school year.
I die cut the hippo shape using the Zoo 2 dies, then stamped the matching image on the die cut and colored it with Copic markers. The hippo is adhered over a piece of leafy patterned paper using foam tape for dimension. I tucked a strip of gray pom pom trim underneath the bottom edge of the patterned paper to add a little texture to the design. The “hippo hooray” sentiment was stamped above the patterned paper strip in black pigment ink so it would stand out nicely against the kraft background.
