Color Throwdown 635-Rain or Shine

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Susie is our hostess this week with a mix of colors that feel like spring--pink, purple, yellow, and aqua.

Rain or Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird

I paired the colors with the current Fab Friday challenge and stamps from Hello Bluebird. The set's rain themed images seemed perfect for these spring colors. I colored up the girl and umbrella using Copic markers that match the challenge colors, then carefully cut out the colored image. The image was adhered to a aqua panel using foam tape for dimension. I matted the panel on silver paper before adhering it to a purple dotted patterned paper panel. The "rain or shine I'm here for you" sentiment was stamped on two narrow purple cardstock strips. I used foam tape to adhere the text strips to the panel on an angle. The finished panel was adhered to a purple card base matching the sentiment strips.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD635If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd635 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team.

Color Throwdown 624-You're the Marshmallows to My Cocoa

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rohl is our hostess for this year's first challenge.  She's sharing a mix of earth-toned color--rust, cream, and brown.

You're the Marshmallows to My Cocoa card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
I paired the colors with a sweet image from Hello Bluebird's Cocoa Party stamp set.  The set's sweater-clad bear image was colored with Copic markers in shades of rust, cream, and brown, then carefully cut out by hand.  I used foam tape to position the bear on a cream cardstock panel, grounded by a narrow brown oval die cut.  The set's "you're the marshmallows to my cocoa" sentiment was stamped on a rust cardstock panel.  After edging the panel with a narrow strip of gold foil cardstock, I tucked it beneath the oval under the bear's feet.  The panel was adhered to a rust card base to match the sentiment strip.

Be Jolly

Be Jolly card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Hello Bluebird
Here's my card for the current Christmas critters themed challenge at Simon Says Stamp.  My holiday critter is one of the cute penguin images from Hello Bluebird's Frosty Friends stamp set.  I colored him up with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut to cut out the colored image.  For the wintery background, I used the Snowy Sky Scene die, cutting different portions of the die from different colors of cardstock get the star-filled night sky, the snowbank, and the water.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I edged the top of the light blue panel with some silvery Stickles glitter for an ice-like sparkle.

The penguin image was placed on the "water," perched on a patch of ice stamped on shimmery white cardstock.  I stamped the set's "be jolly" speech bubble in red ink for the sentiment.  I used foam tape to position the speech bubble to the right of the image.  Now that I look at it, I think I probably would have been happier with how this turned out if I'd stamped the sentiment in blue.  I thought the contrasting pop of red would be nice, but I think it ended up being kind of distracting...

Materials Used:
Frosty Friends stamp set, Snowy Sky Scene die (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Soft Sky and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Enchanted Evening cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); Silver cardstock (Recollections); Stardust Stickles (Ranger); foam tape

The Marshmallows to My Cocoa

The Marshmallows to My Cocoa card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I kept this one super clean and simple, using a sweet image from Hello Bluebird's Cocoa Party for the focal image on the tag at the center of the layout.

The sweater-clad bear image was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine. I used foam tape to adhere the image to a kraft stitched tag die cut.  The set's "you're the marshmallows to my cocoa" sentiment was stamped beneath the raised image, taking advantage of the clear stamp to rearrange the lines of text to fit the space I had on the tag.  I topped the tag with a brown seam binding bow that I made with my Bow Easy, then adhered it to the center of a festive red plaid patterned paper panel.  The panel was matted on dark brown cardstock then adhered to a red card base that coordinates with the plaid panel.

Materials Used:
Cocoa Party stamp set (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Christmas Plaids 6x6 paper pad (Recollections); Anytime Tags dies (Lil' Inker Designs); seam binding (Martha Stewart); Bow Easy; foam tape

Color Throwdown 620-Season's Greetings

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Wanda is our hostess this week with a mix of cool colors--violet, mint, and cream.

Season's Greetings card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Hello Bluebird
I paired the colors with the current Fab Friday challenge and stamps and dies from Hello Bluebird.  I created a simple wintery scene on the layout's top panel.  The snowy background was created with HB's Snowy Sky Scene die.  I used both cream and aqua cardstock to cut the die, then pieced the sections together for my scene. The aqua piece was backed with silver to give it a snowy effect.  The sweet skating bear from the Skating Party set finished my scene.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out with my Scan n' Cut machine before adding it to the panel with foam tape for dimension.  The panel was matted on cream cardstock before it was adhered to a purple card base over an aqua striped panel.  For contrast, I tucked a strip of purple cardstock, again matted with cream, beneath the right edge of my focal image panel. The "season's greetings" sentiment from the Typed Christmas set was stamped on a narrow cream strip in purple ink and adhered to the card with one end tucked beneath the raised bear image to complete the card.

And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD620If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd620 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team.

Not So In Season's Greetings

Here's my card for the current (for a few more hours) challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch.  I created a holiday themed design using a trio of adorable mini snowmen images from Hello Bluebird.

Season's Greetings card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
I stamped the snowmen on shimmery white cardstock and used Copic markers to color the images.  The markers bleed a bit more on this cardstock than they do on the cardstock I usually do, so my coloring isn't as detailed as I'd like it to be... Once I finished coloring the images, I used my Scan 'n Cut to cut out the colored images. To add some texture, I used white flock on the trim on the snowmen's hats.  They were adhered to light blue squares with foam tape for dimension. After I matted the squares on slightly larger red cardstock squares, I arranged the squares along the bottom of a light blue card base. The "season's greetings" sentiment from the Typed Christmas stamp set was stamped in red just above the center and right snowman to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Frosty Littles and Typed Christmas stamp sets (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black and Lady Bug inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Sno Cone cardstock (My Favorite Things); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape

Birthday Bunny

Birthday Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used the sketch to create a birthday card featuring one of the cuties from Hello Bluebird's Just Sayin' stamp set.  I colored up the bunny and balloon images with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored images.  After stamping the "birthday wishes" sentiment on the bunny's sign, I used foam tape to arrange the images on a narrow white panel.  The panel was matted on blue cardstock, then adhered to a jade green card base with a strip of multicolored dotted paper along the left side.  The round, slightly irregular shape of the dotted pattern echoes the shape of the bunny's balloons.  A length of blue satin ribbon wrapped around the patterned paper panel and secured with a simple knot completed the design.

Materials Used:
Just Sayin' stamp set (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Vintage Jadeite cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Baja Breeze cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hip Hip Hooray 6x6 paper pad (American Crafts); blue satin ribbon; foam tape

Special Delivery

Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project. I paired the sketch with images from Hello Bluebird's Frosty Littles stamp set for this sweet winter themed design.

Special Delivery card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
The snowmen images were stamped on shimmery white cardstock and colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  For texture I added a bit of white flock to the red hat on one of the snowmen.  Each image was adhered to a light blue square with a strip of torn shimmery white cardstock "snow" along the bottom, using foam tape for dimension.  I matted each panel on darker blue cardstock before arranging the panels on a piece of blue cardstock with multicolored stripes.  The "special delivery" sentiment from the Typed Christmas set was stamped on a narrow red cardstock strip and positioned over the image panel on the right using more foam tape for dimension.  The finished panel was adhered to a blue card base matching the mats beneath the image panels.

Materials Used:
Frosty Littles and Typed Christmas stamp sets (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Spring Rain and Blueberry Sky cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); The Winter Matstack (DCWV); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape

It's a Wonderful Life

It's a Wonderful Life card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
Here's my card for the current Paper Craft Crew challenge.  I created a wintery scene using one of the penguin images from Hello Bluebird's Frosty Friends stamp set.  The penguin was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  I stamped the set's ice image on shimmery white cardstock and added a little shading to it with my markers before cutting it out.  The pieces were adhered to a light blue cardstock square using foam tape for dimension.  After matting the panel on contrasting red cardstock, I adhered it to a blue card base with a wide strip of wintery patterned paper along the bottom.  The "it's  wonderful life" sentiment from the Typed Christmas stamp set was stamped on a very narrow red fishtail flag strip and positioned over a portion of the image panel.  I tucked a pair of silver snowflakes underneath the left side of the image panel as an accent, then added a trio of silver sequins above the top left corner of the image panel to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Frosty Friends and Typed Christmas stamp sets (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Red Punch and Silver cardstock (Recollections); Wintertime-Snow designer paper (Echo Park); Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Snowflake Trio dies (Reverse Confetti); silver sequins; foam tape

Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm joining in on the Fall/Winter Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog Hop with this sweet card.  I used some earthy fall colors and a cozy coffee themed image from Hello Bluebird for my design.

Your Friendship Warms My Heart card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
The coffee-toting bunny from the Fall Friends stamp set was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  I used foam tape to adhere the colored image to a background made from golden yellow cardstock with green "grass" along the bottom.  For some texture, I wrapped a piece of orange twill around the bottom of the panel, securing it with a simple knot.  The image panel was adhered to an orange card base over a strip of patterned paper with a mix of fall themed images scattered around it. The friendship themed sentiment from the Skating Party stamp set was stamped on a strip of coral cardstock to match the bunny's dress, then adhered to the cardfront using foam tape for dimension.

Materials Used:
Fall Friends and Skating Party stamp sets (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Pumpkin Pie, Cameo Coral, and Old Olive cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Fall Fling 6x6 paper pad (Lawn Fawn); orange twill (Michaels); Grass border punch (Fiskars); foam tape

Keeping Christmas-October 2019

It's time for the October installment of Keeping Christmas with The Challenge design team!  For this month I used an adorable snowflake image and some cheery patterned paper along with the current Mojo Monday sketch for my wintery design.

Jingle All the Way card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
I used the layout's medium sized circle to create a simple wintery scene featuring images from Hello Bluebird. The snowman image from the Frosty Friends set was stamped on shimmery white cardstock to give it a snow-like sparkle, then colored with Copic markers.  I colored up a pine tree image, too, then cut out both images by hand.  They were adhered to a snowy background using foam tape.  For the layout's other circles, I turned to a piece of festive striped patterned paper from an older patterned paper collection and a solid pink cardstock.  All of the circles were matted on red cardstock, then arranged on a patterned paper panel with a strip of solid blue cardstock across the middle.  I stamped the "jingle all the way" sentiment from the Typed Christmas stamp set on the pink circle, then accented the circle with a red seam binding bow with a red jingle bell attached to the center.  The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating light blue card base.

Don't miss what the rest of our team has created to inspire you to get a head start on your holiday card making!  There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing.  Here's where to find the team members:

Sunny Smiles

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I couldn't resist purchasing some Hello Bluebird sets during their recent summer sale and as soon as the stamps arrived, I inked up some images from the Hippos on Holiday set for this card.

Sunny Smiles card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
The hippo and beach ball were colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  I made a beachy background to go with the images from a light blue cardstock panel with a strip of torn kraft cardstock "sand" along the bottom.  I tucked a narrow strip of torn white vellum underneath the top edge of the torn kraft to add a little depth to the background before placing the images on top using foam tape for dimension.  The set's "sending you sunny smiles" sentiment was stamped to the right of the images in purple ink to coordinate with the images.  After matting the image panel with purple cardstock, I adhered it to the bottom of a blue card base.

Materials Used:
Hippos on Holiday stamp set (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black and Grape Jelly inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Winter Wisteria and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Cool Caribbean and Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin' Up!); white vellum (The Paper Company); foam tape

Rain or Shine

Rain or Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
Here's my card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  The layout's large panel was perfect for making a simple scene with an image from Hello Bluebird's Rainy Day stamp set that I'd colored with Copic markers a while ago. After cutting out the colored image with my Scan 'n Cut machine, I used foam tape to adhere it to an aqua panel with a pale gray strip along the bottom.  To make the gray strip look more like a sidewalk, I used a fine tipped black marker to draw in some lines.  I stamped a few raindrops on either side of the image before adhering the panel to a contrasting red mat, then centering it on an aqua card base covered with aqua dotted patterned paper.  The set's "rain or shine I'm here for you" sentiment was stamped on a red fishtail flag strip and adhered over both the image panel and the cardfront to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Rainy Day stamp set (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Cookie Monster ink (Taylored Expressions); markers (Copic); Aqua Mist and Soft Stone cardstock, Aqua Mist patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); foam tape

Color Throwdown 533-Have an Ice Day

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess this week with a pretty mix of colors--gray, purple, lavender, and kraft.

Have an Ice Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello BluebirdI paired the colors with the current challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch for this simple and sweet design.  I used the layout's large square panel to create a winter scene featuring a skating bunny from Hello Bluebird's Skating Party stamp set.  The bunny was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  To give the image a bit of texture, I added some flock to the bunny's cottontail.  The background was made from gray paper, stamped with a trio of white snowflakes, and a wavy stitched die cut shimmery white panel serving as ice.  I may go back and add a tiny clear crystal to the center of each snowflake for a bit of sparkle... The scene was matted on purple cardstock, then adhered to a soft lavender card base.  The set's "have an ice day" sentiment was stamped just beneath the scene in purple ink.

And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD533.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd533 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, March's Guest Designer, Kelly Schirmer, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Alicia Thelin.

Rain or Shine

Here's my take on the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.  I used an image from Hello Bluebird that I'd colored as part of this month's Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge to create this clean and simple design.

Rain or Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
After coloring the image from the Rainy Day stamp set with Copic markers, I used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored image.  The image was adhered to a pale blue card base using foam tape.  I stamped a puddle beneath the image to ground it and a few raindrop images around the image to fill in the scene. The "rain or shine I'm here for you" sentiment was stamped on a yellow fishtail flag strip and adhered to the cardfront extending out from underneath the left edge of the image.

Materials Used:
Rainy Day stamp set (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Sea Glass ink (Gina K Designs); markers (Copic); Sno Cone cardstock, Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); foam tape

A Friendly Hello

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge.  I combined the sketch with the penguin theme and blue tones of the inspiration photo for my sweet design.

A Friendly Hello card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello BluebirdMy penguin is from Hello Bluebird's adorable Skating Party stamp set.  I colored the image with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the image.  I made a background for the image from light blue cardstock for the sky and a shimmery white curved panel with stitched detailing serving as the ice.  The penguin was added on top using foam tape for dimension.  I matted the panel on dark blue cardstock before adhering it to a plaid patterned paper panel.  I cut several fishtail flag strips from two shades of blue cardstock, then arranged them above and below the image panel.  The "a friendly hello" sentiment from the Fall Friends set was heat embossed in white on a narrow dark blue strip for the sentiment--covering where my attempt to stamp the sentiment in black directly on the somewhat slick shimmery paper failed... The finished panel was adhered to a blue card base to match the mat beneath the image panel.

Materials Used:
Skating Party and Fall Friends stamp sets (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Enchanted Evening cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Crystal Stardust cardstock (The Paper Cut); The Winter Matstack (DCWV); Landscape Trio dies (Mama Elephant); Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Snow embossing powder (Michaels); foam tape

Keeping Christmas: January 2019

After the break for the holidays, it's time for the January installment of Keeping Christmas with The Challenge design team!  My holiday design features Julee's current Mojo Monday sketch along with a sweet little snowman from Hello Bluebird.

Jingle All the Way card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello BluebirdMy card uses a cool color scheme rather than a traditional holiday one. The colors were inspired by the chevron patterned paper from an Echo Park paper pad.  I picked the panels for the rest of the card based on the fun pattern.  Once the pieces were in place, I colored up the snowman from the Frosty Friends set with Copic markers.  After cutting out the colored image with my Scan 'n Cut machine, I added a bit of white flock to the hat as an accent, then adhered the image to the round panel with foam tape for dimension.  The "jingle all the way" sentiment from the Typed Christmas stamp set was curved on my clear block to match (sort of...) the shape of the circle, then stamped on the panel in plum ink.

Don't miss what the rest of our team has created to inspire you to get a head start on your holiday card making!  There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing.  Here's where to find the team members:

Materials Used:
Frosty Friends and Typed Christmas stamp sets (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Plum Punch ink (Gina K Designs); markers (Copic); Perfect Plum and Blue Bayou cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock (Recollections); Winter Wishes 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); circle dies (Spellbinders); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape

Birthday Bunny

Birthday Bunny card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
Here's my card for the current Mojo Monday sketch.  I used the layout to make a sweet, simple birthday card featuring stamps from Hello Bluebird.

I colored up the bunny and balloon bunch from the Just Sayin' set using Copic markers, then cut out the colored images using my Scan 'n Cut machine.  After stamping the "happy birthday" sentiment on the sign in the bunny's hands, I used foam tape to adhere the images to a white cardstock panel.  I matted the image panel and a strip of multicolored grid patterned paper on coordinating rose cardstock, then layered the pieces on to a yellow cardstock panel over a wide strip of green grosgrain ribbon.  I have so much ribbon, so I'm trying to find ways to use it that won't add bulk that will make it hard to mail cards. The finished panel was adhered to a rose card base.

Materials Used:
Just Sayin' stamp set (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Piggy Bank ink (Reverse Confetti); markers (Copic); Barely Banana and Regal Rose cardstock, designer paper (Stampin' Up!); white flock (Stampendous); green grosgrain ribbon; foam tape

Have an Ice Day

Have an Ice Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello Bluebird
Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  I inked up a new to me Hello Bluebird set for my wintery design.

For the focal image, I used Copic markers to color up a skating bunny from the Skating Party stamp set.  After cutting the image out with my Scan 'n Cut machine, I used foam tape to adhere it to a pale gray circle.  The set's "have an ice day" sentiment was positioned on my clear block so that it curved to match the shape of the round panel, then stamped in black ink.  I placed the image panel on a diagonally striped patterned paper panel over narrow strips of blue and shiny silver cardstock.  The panel was matted on blue cardstock to match one of the cardstock strips, then adhered to a coordinating pale blue card base.

Materials Used:
Skating Party stamp set (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Soft Sky and Blue Bayou cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Grout Gray cardstock (My Favorite Things); Silver cardstock, Winter Frost 6x6 paper pad (Recollections); circle dies (Spellbinders); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape

Deck the Halls card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Hello BluebirdHere's my card for the current seasonal sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.  My holiday themed design is based on Sketch 261 from February.  The layout's small panel was the perfect size for one of the cute images from Hello Bluebird's Frosty Friends stamp set.  I colored up the bear with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored image.  For some texture, I added a bit of white flock to the stocking in the bear's arms.  The image was adhered to a snowflake patterned paper panel using foam tape.  I matted the panel on contrasting red cardstock before adhering it to a kraft card base. The "deck the halls" sentiment from the Typed Christmas set was stamped in white pigment ink on a narrow red cardstock strip, then heat embossed in white to pop against the red.  I positioned it directly underneath the image panel to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Frosty Friends and Typed Christmas stamp sets (Hello Bluebird); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch cardstock assortment, Snow embossing powder (Recollections); designer paper (Echo Park); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape
