Here's my take on October's sketch at SugarPea Designs. I went with a fall themed design using the sweet Bountiful Blessings stamp set.
I stamped the set's girl image on a white panel cut with the SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die, then added color with Copic markers. To get a subtle denim-y texture (that doesn't really show in the picture . . .), I blotted the colored overalls with a scrap of a towel wet with some Copic blending solution.
After adding a short scalloped kraft strip to the lower right side of the image panel, I adhered it to a blue green cardstock panel with a block of leafy patterned paper at the bottom. To keep the card from being bulky, I threaded a paper button with some twine, secured it with a bow, then added it to the top of the image panel. The set's "hey there, pumpkin" sentiment was stamped in black ink on a narrow orange strip, then adhered near the bottom of the image panel. I hated covering any part of the cute image, but I did it anyway! The finished panel was adhered to a kraft card base.
