The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Here's my card for November's first Viva la Verve sketch. I put this wintery card together last night during some unseasonably warm weather that is definitely not bringing the holiday season to mind! I'm sure that will change soon enough . . .
I stamped the "it's the most wonderful time of the year" sentiment from Verve's Christmas in the Air set on a white rounded corner panel using teal pigment ink, then added a trio of shimmery silver snowflakes from the Frosty Flakes set to the left side of the panel. The center of each flake was dotted with a clear crystal for even more icy sparkle.
I adhered the panel to a patterned paper panel over a pale blue fishtail flag strip. The panel was topped with a pretty strip of white taffeta ribbon with a classic bow. The finished panel was adhered to a rich red card base.
Materials Used:
Christmas in the Air and Frosty Flakes stamp sets (Verve Stamps); Memento Luxe Teal Zeal and Delicata Silvery Shimmer inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Cherry Cobbler and Soft Sky cardstock, white taffeta ribbon (Stampin' Up!); Wintertime-Snow designer paper (Echo Park); clear crystals (TCP Studio); Bow Easy
