I colored the bear image with Copic markers and carefully cut it out, then paper pieced the heart in the bear's hand using a scrap of pink dotted patterned paper. To tie the image in with the rest of the card, I used a strip of the same pink patterned paper across the width of the cardfront. Before adhering it to the card, I edged the patterned paper with a narrow strip of bright pink cardstock to set it off from the pale pink card base. I tucked a half white paper doily underneath the bottom edge of the patterned paper. A twine tied button placed where the doily and patterned paper meet added a whimsical element to the design. I haven't been using many buttons lately, but I have a ton in my stash waiting to be used! The set's "bear hugs and kisses" sentiment was stamped directly on the patterned paper strip. I placed the bear onto the card using foam tape for dimension.
