Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I couldn't resist this adorable new safari animal set, so I picked it up during MFT's year end sale and inked it up as soon as it arrived.
I used the giraffe as my focal image for a little scene. He was colored with Copic markers and carefully cut out. I used foam tape to adhere the image to a blue patterned paper panel with a strip of olive green "grass" along the bottom. I replaced the photo corner style shape in the sketch with a yellow pinking circle sun. I stamped the thank you sentiment on a kraft strip creatively cut with a Fishtail Flag STAX die. The finished scene was adhered to a light blue card base.
Materials Used:
Sweet Safari stamp set, Factory Green and Lemon Drop cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); Cool Caribbean cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Aqua Screen patterned paper (Michaels); Pinking Circle dies (Spellbinders); Grass border punch (Fiskars); foam tape
So stinking cute!
