A Rainbow of Happiness
I'm up on the SugarPea Designs blog today, sharing a bit of sweet SPD inspiration for you. My card was inspired by both the sketch and inspiration photo from the current Fusion challenge and shows off the coordinating Whatever the Weather stamp set and SugarCuts dies from SPD's April release.
I used the dies to cut the rainbow, sun, and clouds from assorted cardstock scraps. I love the stitched detailing on the dies! The die cut pieces were arranged on a blue cardstock panel with a diagonal shiny silver cardstock strip stretching from side to side. To add dimension, I used foam tape beneath the rainbow and clouds.
Once all of the elements were in place, I used silver ink to stamp the "wishing you a rainbow of happiness" sentiment near the bottom of the panel. I heat embossed it with silver embossing powder for an extra pop. A few clear and blue sequins from the Sea Spray sequin collection were arranged around the sentiment and beneath the cloud. The finished panel was adhered to a pale gray card base.
Be sure to check out the creations that some of my other SPD teammates are sharing today on their blogs:
