It's time for another Color Throwdown! It's my turn to be challenge hostess this week and I've chosen colors inspired by a stack of cozy blankets--light blue, cream, and kraft.
The focal image is a to-go cup cut with the Coffee Cup die set from My Favorite Things. I assembled the pieces and used foam tape to place them on a light blue circle die cut. The circle was adhered to a kraft square die cut with a pierced square die. The pierced detail adds just a little texture and interest. I placed the square on a light blue card base that matches the panel behind the to-go cup. A cream fishtail flag strip was tucked beneath the round panel, extending a little beyond the edges of the square. I used the flag strip to help line up the sentiment just right. The text is from MFT's Grande-Sized Love set. I stamped it in brown ink to tie in with the kraft elements. I may go back and add a blue star to the cup wrapper for a little pop of color.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD807. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd807 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team.
